Did you ever see http://www.gamesniped.com? I only found it yesterday, but it looks like it keeps up with the very rarest of eBay gaming auctions. An interesting read, at least.
But as far as my own eBay experience, I'm awful at winning things, and only get what I want if I'm really lucky.

I don't often buy stuff in bulk on Ebay (the postage usually puts me off) so the most exciting I've probably bought on there was my Samba De Amigo box set for £50 + £20 postage.

I bought a Virtual Boy and a whole stack of the better games for the unit from an eBay antiques dealer of all people. She had it listed in the antiques category, too, so I doubt many people who would want it saw it. I got it for a fantastic price because most antiques shoppers aren't interested in gaming hardware that can blind little children.

Aside from that, I still need to finish up my collection of these vintage Super Mario figurines. They don't come up for bids very often though.

750 for a 39" showcase arcade cabinet + Naomi GDROM setup + CVS2 = 750 , I have to pick it up.

Picked up Street Fighter Alpha 2 B-board from Try-inc for 840 Yen.

I got this cab for $100. I didn't know it had CvS2 in it when I bid on it. All that was wrong was an unplugged AC. Re-did the control panel, added wires for JAMMA+ and added a CPS2 kick harness. This one is not leaving the collection.

Yack-> Nice cab purchase. Be careful, those bitches are top heavy.

It was a long time ago -- in the days when Ebay was young and was the place to find anything CHEAP.

So, for five bucks, plus shipping and handling I got someone's entire liquidated Atari video game collection -- about 70 games ranging from the 2600 to 7800, the consoles, many controllers...

Of course, no one gives a rat's ass about Atari... but still.
