Broken systems, games, and peripherals. I usually take a quick peek inside
because sometimes they have a hidden gem. I saw this famicom in there
and didn't think anything of it since there are usually lots of broken famicoms
in these boxes. Something caught my eye, I saw the composite cables sticking
out. Upon further inspection, I noticed it is a modded Famicom.
It was only 500 yen, so if it didn't work the least I can do is open it up and learn
how to mod a famicom. I got home a fired it up, and it worked! So there had to be a catch.
The catch was Controller 1's buttons don't work and DOWN on the D-pad is broken.
So I did a quick remedy by using my wireless famicom controller. The system works perfectly.
I was so happy. I will replace the broken controller eventually, but the wireless or the HORI one is fine for now.
For those who have never seen the Famicom wireless controller, you can connect a 2nd
controller to it.
