Nice! Glad to hear its working now. How is the game anyway? This is actually the first time I've heard of Princess Crown.
Its a Japan-only game. Its a 2D side scrolling RPG with awesome fights and wonderful graphics. Heavy on Japanese text, though.

Princess Crown is made by Vanillaware, the same people that made Odin Sphere, GrimGrimoire, and Muramasa: The Demon Blade.

New Verbatim discs have issues. Snowkitty knows more about this than I do, but apparently when they changed their dye, it all went to pot.

Glad it is working for you, I did enjoyed Princess Crown, but I wish it had been translated. I have tried 80 different backups on my Saturn and the only one to give me errors was Baku Baku, it just never burned right. So I just bought another copy to travel with me.

some tips though for cdr-s and saturns-
avoid "Datawrite" CD-R (widely available in UK) as they perform worse than Verbatim.
Verbatim run 90% of Saturn games, but seem to have a problem with "heavy" in game loading-games like Princess Crown and D&D.
I used really cheap CD-R and they work perfect!
got some bad news for ya, verbatim IS budget CDR now :P they switched to nasty cheap dye (moser baer india) they used to use mitsubishi chem corp dye.
beleive it or not, sony CDR is actually very high quality, i use it alot. i also have a small supply of taiyo yuden CDRs too hehehe

How bout verbatim dvd media, do they also suffer from the same cheap dye?

Lately I switched to verbatim dvd-r media for game consoles and have pretty good results on my dying ps2. Ritek/Ridata for everything else on dvd and Maxell for cd, but thinking about changing to TDK since I never see any Sony or Taiyo Yuden here. And I stay the hell away from Princo or Imation, have had to throw away tons of those, because of the high humidity they get little black dots on the top layer which never happens to other brands.
Consoles: NES, Famicom, SNES, GC, GB DMG, GB Pocket, GBC, GBA, DSI XL, N64, VBoy, NDS, 3DSXL, Wii, SMS, GEN+CD+32X, GG, SAT, DC, WS, WS Color, NGPC, XBOX, 360, PS1, PSone, PS2, PSP, PS3, 3DO, CD-I, NGCD, Actionmax, TG16+CD, TE, PCE-DUO, Odyssey2, Playdia, 2600, Lynx & JAG.

yeah, i agree that Sony CDR are the way to go. I kept getting a few errors when i changed from Verbatim to the "cheap" CDR that i said previously worked "perfectly", although less than with Verbatim. Having burnt Princess Crown to a Sony CDR it is now working 100% without errors, and ive been testing it by playing it for about the last 2 hours.
