This is probably a good discussion for another thread, but if I've always thought that the moon landing was a bad idea.

It's probably not as silly as sending John Glenn back to space, though.
We also sent an NSync member to space, but he paid for it.
Tsk, tsk, tsk. How could you forget about Richard Garriot? He went to the International Space Station and stayed for 12 days.

Plus many people were afraid of the Soviets so the trip to the moon and the space program in general was very popular. If people were willing to support it, why not go for it? I am not sure if Carter won a nobel peace prize, but if he did it was probably for a lot of the things he did after his presidency. Isn't he very involved in Habitat For Humanity or something like that - he may have been the one who started it. Also he has done a lot for international relations, I think he met with Castro a while back.

Because he's black.

I support the guy, but the Nobel Peace Prize shouldn't be awarded so loosely. If I were responsible for awarding the first place trophy in a race, I wouldn't prematurely give it to who I think is going to win.
Systems: SNES, PS1, GBA SP, Gamecube, DS Lite, Wii, PS3 (Fully Backwards Compatible), Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, a Sega CD, and a Sega Saturn.
