Re: Good License Games
odd, I didn't even know that video was up. Still though, that doesn't seem to underrated or anything, Ducktales has gotten so much fan praise over the years, if not just for the moon song. Kinda defeats his whole deal if its well known.nickfil wrote:the happy video game nerd is painful to watch. I like the games, but fuck is he boring and scripted.

Re: Good License Games
Has anyone ever tried Hal Labs New Ghostbusters 2 for the NES? I've actually played it myself, it is alot better than the other Ghostbuster games we have in the states, it really is too bad it never came out outside of Europe and Japan.
Another good one is Thrasher: Skate and Destroy, I just think it was at the time the most realistic skateboarding game of all time, the graphics are crap compare to Tony Hawks but the gameplay aged pretty well, plus the game has one of the best soundtracks of all time (old school hip hop ftw)

Re: Good License Games
TRON 2.0 - better than the actual film imho!

The Goonies

Blade Runner - Appalled no one has mentioned it yet

Moonwalker - Yes I went there!

Dune II - Technically the first RTS on PC and console, enormously refining what Herzog Zwei had to offer

SkyNET - Little known game that did modestly well on PC

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis

Star Trek: A Final Unity - Possibly remains the best game based on the TNG series

Re: Good License Games
- Ducktales 1&2 - NES
- D&D Brawlers - Arcade/Saturn
- Aliens vs Predator – Arcade, Jaguar, PC – All three separate games but all excellent
Surprisingly Jurassic Park Part 2:Chaos Continues for the Gameboy is a solid platformer. Its not the best game by any stretch, but it is a fun little one off in the JP universe

And there's also that Jurassic Park fighting game on the PlayStation.
Also, the Turok series were all based on a comic book from the mid-90s.
