The argument to that is that "war and military protection is an expected task of government". Although I'd argue we need more protection from greedy ceos than we do from religious nutballs on the other side of the world.

Just think of all the lives that would have been saved if someone stood up and shut HITLER down before he killed millions of Jewish people. Not to mention, how many soldiers died in that war, something like 20 million. How about all the Chinese, of Fench, British.....

I will take a chance on a preemptive strike. So no, I dont mind paying, though I cannot quantify what was really saved as we will never know, I can quantify what would have been saved by stopping other maniacs before they got too far.

Strange, governement wants to decide my healthcare, whether or not I get treatment and then send me to jail if I dont pay for their idea of healthcare. A crime not to have health insurance, great, more prisoners more prisons, morre people without money because they are forced to pay for healthcare with their freedom.

Three per cent of our country is in prison right now. 9 milion in mates. So keep on giving the government more power.

The whole point is that you should want to live free of our government as it is there to serve you not for you to serve it. JFK says ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country???? WTF, then he gets us in Vietnam. Nixon gets us out, strange, Nixon as a replublican.... I do plenty for my country, I vote and I PAY taxes. The government is funded on my shoulders and everyone elses who contributes. Ask the hard working taxpayer what there country has really done for them.

I must clear things up, and then I will hold my opinion permamently. (forgive my spelling, and my eyes are kind of buggy right now)

I believe we are privilieged to live in possibly the greatest country on the planet. Many other countries base their entire economic system on ours. 1 billion people in China must like it because they piggy back their currency on ours. Now are we better than other? I dont think so, I think the average hard working guys is as good as the average hard working guy in any other country.

At the end of the day though all of the hard working guys dont want someone who does not live their life or understand it make decisions for them. There is no government in this world qualified to make my healthcare decisions. Furthermore, why do you think the healthcare in this country is so great, because the government stays out of it. But you say that not everyone can get healthcare. Well that is wrong, go into any hospital and if you cannot pay they will offer assistance. There are tons of free clinics in this country as I know, in my really bad times I have used them. Need prescriptions? Store around the corner from hae free antibiotics.

DO WE REALLY NEED SOMEONE TELLING US HOW TO CARE FOR OURSLEVES??? People, it is there for the rich and the poor. Some people exploit it but that is an evil that is part of everything in our lives. FACT: Obama is quoted as saying that he believes people who do not get health insurance should be penalizd for it. I did not make this up, do some research, he compared it to auto insurance.

Assisted Suicide
Alcohal is legal but not marijuana? Who decided which one is worse? I have seen more lives wrecked by alcohal.

Guys the point is that your rights are being chipped away a little at a time and it is continuing. The government has a purpose, but it is not a parent or a babysitter. It takes a family to raise a child not a village. The government is even trying to tell you what games are suitable for yout kids or yourselves for the younger crowd. That is a job for parents, not someone who sees a few screenshots of a game. Your rights are chiseled away slowly, not all at once. Will it continue, probably, should we care YES! OUr kids will suffer for it, and their children.

I just want my rights, my money and my freedom. Anybody who wants to take it is in the wrong. I want to work hard and reap the rewards of it. I dont want someone else to reap the rewards of my hard work. For the younger crowd talk to your grandparents, you may see a similar viewpoint.

Imagine this, look at the tax code, think of what they will do with healthcareLOL.

I am not a hater, nor do I really care what they do as most likely it will just cost us more money, nothing is free guys. Healthcare will cost you money and now you will likely have to pay for someone elses too.

Is it me or did you just morph into some crazed backwoods freedom fighter for a bit there?

(Oh and games are rated by the ESRB which is owned by the ESA (Entertainment Software Association) which is a private group owned an operated by the video game industry itself not the government.)

P.S.- I could care less about your views as I tend to read the fine print and full descriptions about my local laws and legislation to make sure I actually know what I'm talking about.
