What is your favorite console controller?

Is it just me or was the Gamecube controller the first of Nintendo's that was actually comfortable?

I still don't have a Gamecube, so I couldn't tell you. :) But who knows, I might like it for some things.

One of the most comfy controllers ever made. I've never met a hater I couldn't convert within an hour of hands-on use. The only flaw was the z-button, and possibly the d-pad being even smaller than GBA's.

Mozgus: I think you nailed it. The Gamecube controller is one of the best I've ever held- but the d-pad and z-button were not well thought out. It's probably become my favorite.

I'm extremely partial the SNES pad too- not because it's well designed or otherwise- just for sake of nostalgia. I don't think I've used one in quite some time since I just emulate my favorite cartridges on the Gamecube.

The N64 controller is awful, and the Dreamcast controller makes my wrists hurt incredibly bad... I think they are made to give you carpal tunnel. I've never had a Saturn or controller- but they look pretty sweet.

During Christmas I picked up some Xbox 360 Controllers Wireless Controllers for $30/ea. to resell and then they came out with the device to connect them to the PC. I kept four for some emulation gaming goodness. They are as good or better than the Gamecube controller- I'm extremely pleased.

I really didn't mind the Dreamcast controller too much comfort-wise.
I thought it fit my hand pretty well and the triggers are in a good position.

The only complaints are they they aren't exactly elegant and I like having six face buttons like the Saturn controler.

I actually really like the dreamcast controller. It's comfortable for me.

I also love the gamecube and saturn controllers, even though i have the original saturn controller. On the internet i hear everyone talking about how terrible the first american saturn controller was, but i like it. anyways, i like the DC controller a lot.
