Yes this is true. Im not sure what the chances are for any 60gig to get YLOD, but i know for sure the numbers are waaaaay smaller than any chance of a Xbox RROD.

never heard of a way to fix it. i've read that YLOD is caused by over heating but im not sure. eitherway, i think the sony repair cost is $140 or $160. I've heard of people sending in their 60gigs and getting brand new 60gigs in return.
