Technically it kind of is, think about it the NWC carts are quite literally the single most important and valuable pieces of gaming silicon and plastic ever created.

that's pushing it. I mean, sure it's a nice piece for collectors. But really, what's "important" about it? I'd say SMB1 or Tetris -- two very common carts -- are far more important pieces of gaming ephemera.

NWC was a major event in it's day and was the first of it's kind to bring competitive gaming to the masses. Plus given the sheer rarity of these things it really is true to call them the single most valuable pieces of gaming history, at least from a monetary standpoint.

from monetary, yes. I agree with that. It's rare. So it's worth a lot to collectors. But I'm just saying history-wise, the release of major games (SMB, Tetris, Zelda, etc) would be of far greater importance.

It's gotta be a repro or something. There is no way that anyone is that stupid, gamer or not, they know how much that is worth. Plus, advertising through craig's list, really?

Yeah, like someone said above, true or not, I don't care. I would never get it. It's an useless cartridge.

Owners of the existing cartridges must be happy, though. Their cartridges should get even rarer and more expensive (although I think the rarity at this point yields few returns).

I don't quite understand the point. Ummm, why do this rather than selling it for a couple thousand dollars? Why?
