Hell yeah! The Game Gear is a great system. I'd recommend Mega Man, Battletoads, Shinobi 2, Streets of Rage 2, Vampire: Master of Darkness (it's a cheesy Castlevania rip-off, but I found it hard to put down) and Gunstar Heroes as six platformers that cover six distinctly different genres.

I'd also look at getting some quality rechargeable batteries and a cheap ac adapter - that combination beats any of the "battery pack" solutions, if you ask me. While the battery life isn't great, I think people harp on that aspect of the system too much and blow it out of proportion...
YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS ARE DEAD. GAME OVER.

Curlypaul wrote:The problem with tilting the screen to see it clearly is due to a leaky capacitor, which the GG suffers from a lot. Sega orginal used these funny square surface mounted caps, but there is plent room to replace them with some small thru board caps.

I did mine a year or so ago and the screen is much better, although its still very low resolution and bit fuzzy.
Any tutorials for this?

Too true. This level alone made me dislike Sonic 2 for Gamegear.

Thats the exact page that I followed. Good luck.

Love collecting for the Game Gear, I think its because the games can be hard to find complete but when you do it doesnt cost an arm and a leg.
