wtf how come it wasn't named new athens, like new york or new orleans?
Because the Greeks didn't settle America, the British and French did.
yeah I know that but why name the city after another one? If I got to name a city, I'd probably name it after my daughter/wife or something else that's important to me (or if I'm egotistic I'd name it Zeroaxville)

Athens, Ga exists because of UGA. The school wanted a scholarly name for its town. So they named it after one of the greatest learning centers of history thats why...

Anyway, we hit up a Hastings in Auburn, AL, two Play N Trades in Atlanta, GA, as well as a Goodwill, and then visited another Play N Trade in Athens, GA. Here's just a few highlights of the trip:
6 SNES games
2 Nintendo 64 games
8 Genesis games
1 PlayStation game
1 PC game
2 PS2 games
1 3DO, model FZ-10
2 3DO games
We also picked up another PlayStation game while visiting Vejita's mom. Fun times, huh? I'd list individual titles, but I can't remember all of the titles off the top of my head, though one of the PS2 titles was Yakuza. I finally picked it up!
just curious ack but what store did you get the 3do games at.
Mr.white555 I stopped by athens the other day and I tried both Aqua linda and Taco stand both were great for different reasons. Aqua linda very authentic Mexican food and Taco stand a great american take on mexican food.
The 3DOs were up at the Athens location. They also had a ColecoVision and three other 3DOs available at the time, though I don't know if they still do. It's one of those things they keep in the back that you have to ask about. I found out about them after I'd been talking retro games with the guys working the desk for 45 minutes.

I went there and I should have asked but the guy seemed to intrested in playing madden. I did pick up Dragon warrior 7 for the PS1 for 29.99. How much were the 3DO games and what titles. I need a colecovision also.
The 3DO was around $60, if I remember correctly. As for games, they didn't really have much, and the only one that I can remember that I didn't get is Jurassic Park, which was in their system for about $50(which shocked them as much as it shocked me). They said they'd be fixing that soon, but too late for me. I managed to grab a copy of Starblade and Syndicate though.
