You could just emulate a large portion of those consoles, that's one way to reduce clutter. There are usb connectors for the majority of controllers out there.

While that's true, when you're the kind of person that considers hooking up 10+ consoles to a TV then you've probably already decided that emulation just isn't good enough.

My thoughts exactly as you can tell from my wire pics. I dont even bother to organize it I am just going to change it when I get a new console anyways and that just adds more work. Believe me I tried. I would rather occasionaly untangle cords. Just stuff them back there and cover them up.

Ditto. I have, as of this afternoon, 12 systems hooked up and wish I had room for more.

Oh, god! I have too many consoles hooked up simultaneously, I had to split them into two different rooms!

Still, my method I described earlier in this thread has been a pleasant dream for me. It's been working great so far.

Would any of you post pics of your wire solutions? I would like to see a neat set up. Maybe I might find one feasable.

Had a mini freakout today while trying to rearrange some consoles. It's all kind of fuzzy now, but when I came around all of my wires and consoles were ripped out and in a pile in the middle of the living room. I ended up just arranging my consoles where I wanted them, but without the plugs. I organized the cables in ziplock bags and placed them in a drawer. When I want to play one, I can easily plug it in and go. I don't know why I was so obsessed with having every console plugged in and ready to play. I feel somewhat liberated now. I also feel a little better without the 4 piggybacked surge protectors threatening to set my apartment on fire.

I must get to work on my universal wiring system - one switch box that every system ever invented can plug into. The switch box then has one plug to plug in an outlet and one cable to plug into the TV. I am sure it already exists, but I probably couldn't afford it anyway.
