Here's a very cool, but functionally unorganized collection of some of the most awesome consoles and games you've every seen (all Japanese). You can find a bunch of pictures on page 9 of this thread over at assembler: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19226&page=9

Here's a preview:

I don't know... I'm kind of partial to Motley Crue. I've seen them in concert before... by choice. Strange but true. It goes well with his rock band theme, anyway. Or, perhaps I've got it backwards. Rockband/Guitar Hero goes well with his 70s/80s metal theme.
If you guys have not seen this already, you will be way more than amazed. THIS is why I stopped collecting video games a while ago, because comparing to this, every single collection I had ever seen before was just...small..and so are ALL collections in this thread
(yes, even Maximus Clean's )

So here it is, this link may change your life, and change the way you look at video games collections

Yeah... I've seen that one before. It's extremely impressive for the sheer volume of it... but the room isn't attractive in the least as far as I'm concerned. A good gaming room to me is somewhere where my wife, family and non-gaming friends wouldn't feel ashamed to hang out it.
This isnt from the Racketboy forums, but this guys console collection is pretty much complete. Everything is CIB also. Its quite impressive.

He says he's starting to sell it off though.

I'll be building some custom shelving for my game room in the next week or so. I'll be sure to post some pics up once I've got it set up and hopefully I can make someones jealous post.
Yeah... I've definitely drooled over that one before. Mainly his shelves full of consoles. I think system boxes stacked on top of each other like he's got is very unattractive, but I do like what he's done with his consoles.

Maybe we are and that' a shame, because it's one of the prettiest collections I have ever seen on this site.

As of now I'm jealous of my own collection beacause I am at school and only have some of my games, I do miss the lair, I just wish i had more space that way it didn't look like a mess

i however would say that Thierry Henry's is probably the best
the Game Room's section has always been a favorite of mine, and I think this is a good way to give people props for their great collections!

Thanks for the compliment JT. I am going to take pictures of my gameroom now that its finished. I added more games and a couple of consoles to my collection.

Almost everyboby's collection I am jealous of. Everbody has something I want or has a nice personal touch to it. I love the one with the TMNT collection on top. I wish I kept all my toys.

I agree with Deathclaw sometimes too much seems to dampen the collection. Thats like taking pictures of a Video game store. Yeah there is alot but it just screams the games are here for the sake of being here.

I am curious how much some of these rooms cost. The basement ones with bars and built in shelving. The ones that impress me the most are the arcade cabinet collections. That is something I will never be able to do, no room or electric bill would be too high.
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.

I don't have my own house unfortunately, but I'm already planning out what kind of room I want for my games. I'm not a fan of the cluttered piles of stuff look at all. It has to be organized. I'm not really in it for the sake of pure volume. Having every game for every system wouldn't even appeal to me if I won the lottery. I want a room that's useable, and not just a display. Having shelves of systems that aren't even hooked up won't work for me unless we're talking about a few "display pieces" that aren't really worth playing like 2600 or virtual boy. Although something makes me want an N64 in every color........

My favorite rooms on here are the first one listed and the basement one with the wood panelling.

I am a fan of any clean gameroom that looks like people have fun there. Conversely I am also a big fan of the hidden game room.

Any place that looks like it is begging for you to just come in and sit on the couch and play games, is my preferred. One of the guys on the forums has one just like this with Sega posters on the wall and an old tv set (sorry I cant remember the name).

And I guess I should describe the hidden game room. Any room where you enter and you think it is just a standard den or study, but is really the game room is just something cool to me. Sadly this means the collection is not typically on display. But arcade controllers built into coffee tables, and pcs built into old radios, are just fascinating to me.

Absolutely agree on you with the clean gameroom idea - I just hate when somebody has a load of consoles and most of them are actually not connected to a TV...

I dont mind that actually, aslong as it is kept to a minium. Typically I dont like having all of my consoles on display or hooked up, but that is so I will focus on one or another and not get spread to thin. So I can understand if others have a similar viewpoint. But I can agree, having 10 consoles under the tv and none of them hooked up irks me.
