That would be really cool since I don't think many racketboy members were at PAX this year.. I can't wait to go again next year hopefully with a good group of retro gamers.. This year was my first year at Comic-Con and PAX..

Once again, I wish ya good luck in the future..8)
Actually, if you had been on the other side of the country for DragonCon, you could have seen Fastbilly ranting about European cartoons...

I'm sorry to hear about the marriage dissolving. Each relationship is different, but I can't imagine having to go through a divorce myself. It would rip me apart. You appear to be handling it better than I would. Nevertheless, new beginnings are not always a bad thing and what seems like bad luck today can always reveal itself to be good luck in the future. Best wishes.

Hang in there. Sounds like it's going smoother than most. The site will always be around when the time comes to dig back into it.

Eh.... so I was cleaning out her stuff from closets today and found a bunch of her scrapbooks... Of course I couldn't go without flipping through them --- it's one of those things that you can't pull yourself away from even though you know it's not gonna be good for you...

Rather sad to see so many good memories be shoved aside....
sigh...

Sorry I had to mention it...

I'm sorry for your loss. As someone who has been through the dissolve of a long-term relationship I can sort of relate. In my case she cheated on me, so it wasn't too hard to hate her for it after a while. I don't envy you having to go through a "clean breakup." They tend to leave baggage, and those trunk tags are pretty well hidden  .

Bad time for a Psychonauts joke though, I suppose :( . I wish you the best and good luck.

One of my favorite quote is "Good things fall apart so that greater things can come together". I am not trying to debate whether your divorce is a good thing or not, but rather, from it I hope something greater can and will occur. My condolences to you man. Wish you best of luck.

If you're ever feeling down, you should think of the army of nerds you have assembled here and feel proud of yourself. Not many succeed where you have.

Good luck, Racketboy. You're The Man.

Yeah, I'm fortunate that I don't have kids that have to go through this as well.
Not that I didn't want kids, but I'm sure it really complicates things.
Best wishes to all those in similar situations!

Without kids you have the option at least of a "clean break" which can be infinitely more pleasant if you find that things get ugly down the road. Not that it makes it easy either way...but it sure is nice not to have to see someone if you don't want to. Anyway, sorry about your marriage and I hope it all works out for the best.
