I'll take your word for that kitty, it does make sense.
It works though and it's ALOT better than trying to catch the disc on boot up cause it's not spinning!
what are the chips you're got? do the work in the litlte PS1s?
Modding a PS1
Re: Modding a PS1
Easiest mod chip installation I've ever done was a 6-wire pre-wired one from modchip.ca into a PSOne. Took about 3 minutes.
Re: Modding a PS1
i have multimode 3 chips (same thing as modchip.ca sells but for some reason they call them stealth elite or something like that) and yeah they work in small PSonesKrooner wrote:I'll take your word for that kitty, it does make sense.

Re: Modding a PS1
Could you mod a phat ps2. Thinking about it I should really mod one of my ps2s as then I could play imported and backups for both. How much would you charge to put a modchip in a ps2 (I know it needs to be cleaned cause of the disk reading errors).SnowKitty wrote:ive got some modchips left. i can mod one of your PS1s for 30$ plus shipping/paypal fee.
this includes the chip/install and a laser calibration if needed. i also clean and regrease the gears and laser sled. my chips are multimode 3, the best there is. they play backups and imports (even the antimodchip protected ones) with no swapping needed. (though for PAL games you will need a TV that can accept a PAL signal)
