Can you recommend me some comics?

All depends on what you like. THE INFINITY GAUNTLET is what got me into comics, I would highly recommend it.
Peter David's run on the Incredible Hulk is amazing, ask the comic clerk if he has some back issues.

I loved Infinity Gauntlet. I haven't looked into comics in a good 15 years or so but back in the day it was one of the best. I also loved all of the Weapon X/Wolverine stuff, both the X-men versions and the standalone versions.

Oh yeah, the early runs on Wolverine were awesome. I really enjoyed when he went by Patch too.

Ashley Wood, Robots vs. Zombies vs Amazons and World War Robot,

both are quote "graphic novels" but are comics nonetheless, you can pick em up at any Books A Million or Barnes&Noble stores in separate volumes that cost a little or you can get the smaller all in one paper back of zombies vs robots vs amazons complete for under 20$. These comics have beautiful artwork, with awesome painted inserts and full color story cells mixed with a somewhat humorous and simplistic yet engaging storyline that takes a ridiculous theme and makes it really cool. the world war robot novels are more like actual graphic novels where there are no regular cells for the story telling rather there are only large painted pictures that have a few pages of storyline to accompany each picture, very cool and dramatic war-time scenes and stories. About Robots!

Anything to do with Vampire Hunter D, Especially "Coffin: The Art of Vampire Hunter D" a really awesome graphic novel that is huge for one thing (and costly) and has pages and pages of beautiful classically painted artwork and interesting captions and multiple pages of storyline.

Sin City, 30 days of Night, 300 ya know the good stuff.

Seconded. I'd but it in order as Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, and Frank Miller personally, but it doesn't really matter. Early collections of Cerebus are very good, and Bone is a must. As previously stated, the Johnny the Homicidal Maniac series is sublime.
