Do you worry for the newer gamers?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

For me Golden Eye and Perfect Dark for the N64 expanded upon Doom and Halo expanded upon them. Is halo a better game than any of the above....eh it's doubtful, but it did manage to bring a new "feel" to FPS. I admit that since then the FPS genre has stagnated into a pool of shit being mass produced and sold to the dumbass halo lovers, but still you can't let the people who play the games influence your opinion of the game. Halo 3's solo player was not very fun. It sucked compared to halo 1 or even 2..

In other words: Every generation sucks but yours.

Hi Gooseberrysoda…

Yes I think you are right. It will mostly be forgotten but the internet and emulation pretty much guarantees that old-school and retro games will be remembered and even remain playable for as long as there is a technologically advanced human civilization.

It looks like very sad thing.

My first real system may have been the n64 but I seriously respect the earlier systems for how fun they were (that's when games were still, ya know games not war simulators) despite graphics even though I sport a Crysis avatar and have a comp that can play it on very high @ 30 frames 1680x1050 (not trying to brag). And remember without those older systems there would be no next gen just the new pin-ball machines or something, without atari and pong we would be lost and this forum wouldn't even exist! So I say *$@% that if they don't want to know where they come from, that's fine whatever they can keep on playing nintendogs or maybe the newest naruto games yay!!!!! (kill myself)
The gates of Hell,
"Through me is the way into the woeful city; through me is the way into eternal woe; through me is the way among the lost people. Justice moved my lofty maker: the divine Power, the supreme Wisdom and the primal Love made me. Before me were no things created, unless eternal, and I eternal last. Leave every hope, ye who enter!" -Dante
