Games You Hate That Everyone Else Loves
Re: Games You Hate That Everyone Else Loves
I'm gonna add to the Halo hate party. I really don't understand how this game became this popular. The creature designs suck and the noises the little ones make is pathetic. Its just really generic looking from enviroments and story to the characters. I would rather choke on broken glass while stabbing my kneecaps with butterknifes than play Halo. I'm also gonna throw Madden in there as well for good measure.

Madden, I prefer my sports to be real, and to not involve me.
Re: Games You Hate That Everyone Else Loves
Meh, Halo's been said, so I'll come up with something else.
Resistance: Fall of Man. I remember this getting a lot of hype for some bloody reason. Then I got a chance to play it, and I discovered that it breaks one of the most important rules of a first person shooter for me: enemies don't register that they've been shot. Sure, I'm doing damage, but they don't seem to notice. They just go right on shooting. Hell, even Doom had a frame of animation when an enemy got shot.
Plus, the controls felt stiff, the game felt sluggish, and the AI seemed to know where I was at all times, so there was no sneaking up or anything like that. And I didn't find it fun at all.

:::::Takes deep breath::::::
Zelda OOT
I love link to the past, I just couldn't get into OOT, nor do I care too.
I'm also getting tired of seeing it on so many lists as the greatest game ever made....
FF7 urks me a little. I enjoyed the game but I hate the fans who swear it's the greatest RPG ever created. Just because it has animated scenes that you can cut linken park music and paste on you tube doesn't mean it's the best..... That goes for you as well kingdom hearts.....

Besides Halo and most fps games. The final fantasy series, i've played most of the games and I really want to get into them but just cannot. I love jrpgs and like all of the final fantasy spinoffs but keep getting bored and force myself to finish them.
Guitar hero, rock band or any other game like that I cant stand them. I will just stick to my real intruments. Now if you could plug in your real guitar and it would teach you to play the songs for real i might change my mind.

A good number of my friends who like KH agree with you and while it was not a bad game it was much worse than the first.the7k wrote:Kingdom Hearts 2. All this game had going for it was a load of flash, and - if you write yaoi fan-fiction - a game that practically writes the fan-fiction for you.

Why don't you like TF2?
I don't like this new wave of fast RTS games with simplified builidng options. I feel they are void of strategy because you just create troops and smash the opponent, no flanking, no taking good sports, you get the idea. They are getting better though.
And GH/RB, I think the songs are too long, the charts uninteresting and overall easy. Guess I'm a bemanitard but well...
Both Keyboardmania and Drummania use real instruments, However they are hard, as in "take several years" hard. Give them a try if you fancy to.pepharytheworm wrote: I will just stick to my real intruments. GTA 4 is glossy rubbish and devoid of joy. Saints Row 2 is ten times more fun and has actually managed to reinvigorate my interest in the tired urban sandbox genre.
Modern Warfare is also terrible and has tremendously regressed mainstream fps design.

I just find it boring. Again though, you have to understand that my absolute favorite multiplayer game is Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Which despite having a lot of things in common with Team Fortress 2, still feels very different and I much prefer it over TF2, although I love the cartoon style in TF2, I just don't find it nearly as fun. I agree with you on RTS's though, World in Conflict was very sad in that respect.General_Norris wrote:A good number of my friends who like KH agree with you and while it was not a bad game it was much worse than the first.the7k wrote:Kingdom Hearts 2. Older. Not wiser.

A lot.
I hate COD series, they are as good as they can be but they are too real for me its not fun.
I honestly would give the 1st Farcry 5.4/10 score. Other than graphics, that game sucks big time.
I still have to understand why RPG's are system sellers. They take all your life to complete, they are very repetitive, there are a billion of them, they are very slow. They say the story element is what makes them play the game, but if the story what makes you play the game then why not read a book instead of deciding what is your next attack going to be?
