I have to speak my mind about Ebay....

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

People love them some Saturn controllers. I recall a PS2 Saturn pad going for $200+.

I never have a problem. Bid the highest your willing to pay. If you lose who cares it's not like you wanted to pay that much anyway. Do not wait till the last minute, being the first bidder won me more stuff and at less then waiting till the last minute. It will automaticly bid for you till the bids pass your number. You can always see when and who bid. dont believe me look at the first three bidders they usually win.

I bid on 10 sega saturn games complete. I bid $35 no one else bid so i won them for $6.99. Be patient and watch as many as you can. Don't put all your eggs in one basket as they say.

I think ebay is still good from a buyers point of view. I don't enjoy selling on ebay anymore because people expect everything for $.99 with free shipping and the fees are outrageous. Unfortunately, sometimes it feels like the only viable option if you really want to move something.

One other problem is that there are some really large companies selling on ebay now and they are able to ship stuff for much less than the average joe so it is really getting tough to match the bottom line.

yeah. It isn't unheard for saturn controllers going for that price. I guess if that is what people are willing to pay for them, cool. Sell like crazy. I just hope that at some point everyone calms the fuck down so i can pick one up.

I would love a complete snes chrono trigger. Am i ever going to pay a hundred bucks for it? fuck no. Emulation is fine as long as prices are hovering around a hundred. When it gets cheaper or when i find it at a flea market cheap, i'll pick it up.

Selling used old games is an odd thing. If everyone collectively decided to only pay 20 bucks for old saturn pads that is what they would sell at. It is the frothing at the mouth collector with deep pockets that make these things inflate in price.

Supply and demand just like anything else. If there were millions of complete copies of Chrono Trigger floating around still you could pick it up much cheaper. Same with the Saturn pads and anything else really. If it is hard to find in the wild for cheap then you can expect to pay for it when it shows up.
