Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

And about creativity, puff that is a too broad statement.
Well then how long did it take you to beat Pac-man, Donkey Kong, or even Super Mario Bros. without short cuts if you even did. Repetitive maybe but then again all long games are. Thats just straight gameplay too not 10+ hour cinemas you see today.

Its good to know some people still repect Retro gaming even if it is msnbc.

Haha the part about throwing the controllers is so true. My NES controllers have dents in them from my dad's frustration while playing Super Mario Bros. 3.

And, really, most of the other stuff is true. I still own a good few retro games that I haven't finished. A GOOD FEW.

Ok, I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but it is on the front page of the video game section of MSNBC right now.

I wonder if they got some flack for their last article like this...

ok, here are their reasons:

They play longer
They’re more challenging
They more straightforward
They’re more durable -------- ("Remember what it was like to throw a controller at a wall without fear of it breaking?" - from article)
They’re more creative

Ahh, MSNBC... thanks for these great insights into our hobby (dripping with sarcasm).
Yay, thanks for pointing out the obvious to the MSNBC crowd who doesn't care..
