What's Your Favorite 3D Fighter?

Either Dead or Alive Ultimate or Virtua Fighter 4. I can't stand any of Namco's 3D fighters, although I did enjoy Soul Caliber when it was released for the Dreamcast launch.

Soul Calibur 2 for me. The Cube version, to be precise(I like Link). The moves feel smooth and elegant to me. It does what I want when I want. The modes are interesting and varied even in single player. And the graphics on the Cube version are still excellent.

Actually, most think the cube is the best version of the game. I mean, it may not be HD, but 576p is good enough for me. Add 16:9, the coolest character of all the versions, and you get one awesome edition of the game.

What, no love for Battle Arena Toshinden so far? When the PS1 first came out it was all the people I knew would play. Too bad the mechanics were horribly flawed.

This is kind of a tough call for me.

I'm inclined to say it's one of the following.

Virtua Fighter 2, Fighters Megamix, Soul Calibur, or Virtua Fighter 4.

I think I'll go with VF2 since it remains one of my all time favorites, introduced me to 3D fighters, and I played the hell out of that game.

yeh I have it on PS2 and GC, and the GC one does look a lot nicer, however, I dont have a decent controller for the cube, and theres no way Im playing with the default GC pad, Ive got a Hori Real Arcade Pro coming soon for my PS2, so Ill buy an adapter for that and then Ill play through it

Virtua Fighter 2 for the Saturn because I haven't played 3 or 4, 1 is aggrivating, and Kids is utter garbage. But yeah, 2 is alright.

I'm not really into 3D fighting but probably DOA 2 or SoulCalibur.

If you did not mean "serious, one on one" though, it's Power Stone 2 for sure.

I don't know about best or favorite, but Fighters Megamix on the Saturn was a lot of fun, and it was a really expansive fighting game with lots of replay value. It was even better at doing the Capcom fighting mix than anything Capcom's put out.
