What's Your Favorite 3D Fighter?

Post by racketboy »

I like Soul Calibur and all, but its can be a bit of a button masher. Lots of critics say its a deep game, but I just don't see it.

Virtua Fighter 3tb is probably my top pick. I haven't played VF4 much, so I can't really say if I like it better.

I enjoyed Rival Schools and Project Justice as well when I'm looking for a more fun-filled game instead of skill/strategy

I'd have to say Sould Caliber. I've just been playing the series too long with friends to choose anything else. I really like the Rival Schools series as well, and Dead or Alive.

There's alot of good 3D fighters out there, probably the one I put the most game into was Fighters Megamix (for a while it was the only Saturn game I had). It wasn't as tight or balanced like the VF games but there is just so much content to discover.

Soul Cailbur on Dreamcast I would say is my all time fave 3D fighter and it handles so well on the DC.

I'm probably the only one who thinks so, but Bloody Roar for Gamecube was a really fun game. I like the speed, especially when you unlock the turbo modes. I also like the extra options that are unlocked, like kids mode, giant heads, etc. That stuff is fun for when friends come over. It can be somewhat of a buttonmasher though, but I don't mind. I still like it a lot, actually.
