Re: TurboGrafx-16 Video Cable
That is the same model I bought. It is the UK/Euro version of the system.
Unlike the US or Jap versions (which use smaller boards BTW), there is a CXA1145p chip on the board, which takes the NTSC RGB signal (NTSC games after all) and makes the signal composite or, unlike the US or Jap versions, amplify the RGB signals from within the chip so you can tap off them, as I have done. Composite is not great on this system, the yellow is weak, the red and blue is too strong (therefore also green); but is acceptable. On my system, I have it working RGB onto a PSone screen, looks very nice. With RGB of course, you can use leads and wire straight to the chip pins (the pins are quite large on the CXA1145p chip) and use component cables to your television if you like for the RGB, C-sync and ground - or if you know how, scart, although quality of image will be similar to composite.
The TG-16/PCE guide is the one I am working on in the next couple of days or so, will go on my site. In the interim, amongst the other posts is the information I am referring to: HERE
You can of course also put in switches and make the system take Japanese games as well as US ones - I have about 27 games at the moment, about 70% are Japanese.

I have the same machine. Ebay job for £30. I was so happy to get one of these as Ive always wanted one. WHen it arived I was shocked to find it brand new in the box!! I soon discovered that it had no power cable or AV lead so I ordered an AV lead and tried the power supply from my Master System.
The AV cable wont fit and the system wont power up! Anyone else try any other powercable/av combo? Im hoping the machine isnt faulty but Im guessing that the psu just isnt right for it.
