Beat 'em ups article
Re: Beat 'em ups article
Another thing I thought of today... maybe you could split up games that are ONLY single players from 2 player games. I'm on a SNES beat 'em up kick right now, like I said, and that's one of the things on my mind. There are tons of good ones like Batman Returns, The Ninjawarriors, Final Fight 1, etc, that are only 1 players. They're awesome games, but I'm also looking to get in on some 2 player action.

Re: Beat 'em ups article
Unfortunately it's on hiatus at the moment, as I've been sidetracked with other stuff I've been working on for Racket. I'll talk to him about what to do after this project, and see if he's interested in leting me continue it.toredauei wrote:is this article still in the works or ben started on yet? As far as differentiating between genres, perhaps I'm a bit strict but I've always considered a game to be a beat 'em up if it is primarily hand-to-hand fighting, a hack n slash if it's primarily weapons-based. There are very few games where this rule is blurry (like Sengoku 3
