Well Kirby is stupid fun that anyone can play and be decent at - think of it like a dumbed down Mario Kart. But I agree it is a bit of a stretch. I would suggest buying third party "comaptible" controllers like these:

They are cheap and get the job done. And since 8 player Mario Kart DD is 90% luck, everyone is there just to have fun right?

Wow, am I really the only one who loved Kirby's Air Ride? I thought it was a fantastic racing game; I especially loved the city stages. It's games like these that justify the Gamecube's 4 controller ports. :)

Kirby is pretty awesome, but for me it had a very steep learning curve. That said, I own two copies. The BBA is totally worth it. MarioKart with 8 players is absolute mayhem. But bullcrap about the 90% luck. When we played at work there were 2 or 3 people (out of 8) who actually fought for first place.

I said 90% since I have seen far too many nongamers and casual gamers go from last to first on the last lap and win the race. The last time I got eight people to play it, there were four of us duking it out for most of the races but in the final stretch almost everytime we got toasted. I will admit I am not the best at Double Dash, 64 is still my favorite, but I like to think I am competent at the game, and this scenario has played out far to often for it to be random chance.

Dont get me wrong, Double Dash, especially 8 player lan, is a fantastic game. I just feel it puts too much power in the kingmaker. I mean I received two blue shells when I was in last place once - that should never happen.

And I am very disappointed that Mario Kart Wii has no lan option. I have yet to buy it partially for that reason.
