Is this guy serious?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Yeah it is quite buggy, and the frame rate it choppy and everything but thats not my fault. This is why I dont bother selling anything on ebay anymore, to many twonks trying to screw you for everything. I think I'll stick to just using it for buying

Actually, I've encountered the audio problem where only one wiimote sounds like it's firing. The volume had to be turned up on the other.

It's a trick. Get a shovel.

I say to tell him to shove off in the nicest possible way. Just because the game was made buggy and he doesnt like the game because of it doesnt mean he can send it back to you. You aren't a rental service/.

What if you had every shlum come and buy stuff from you, then to cry about how they don't like the way the game is, and having to return it.

How much was the item? Probably not much. Tell they guy to bring the game to his nearest Wal-mart and have them either exchange it or get their store credit.... they take ANYTHING back.

you can do that at wal-mart? i though they will only take things that you bought from them and if you have the proof of your purchase.... anyways back on the subject of Curlypaul's issue, i agree with everyone you should not have to refund him if he dislikes the game due to the bugs that sega never ironed out before releasing it.

Good grief - now he's saying that Hotd2 and 3 allowed the second player to control the menus and its my fault that overkill doesnt! He's off to report me to pay pal now and presumably they automatically give him a refund from my account. How do I go about arging with them?

I was considering playing along with his 'refund', get him to return the item first and then forget to give him his cash back. I figure paypal are gonna take my money and he's gonna keep the game the way things are playing out at the minute

We just went through this with another guy here. First, have you gotten any response back from Sega about what he's claiming? And second, Paypal will notify you if they are asked to look into a transaction. If you haven't been notified, they haven't done anything.

He can only open a dispute within about 45 days of the transaction. If he opens a dispute then there is a 10 day period for negotiation. Then if it isn't resolved or closed, he can escalate it to a claim. If that happens (which it most likely will) then you have 10 days to report to paypal everything you know about he situation, including a link to the auction, receipt of payment, and any messages that you exchanged. If you don't respond then they win automatically. Then they get 10 days to do the same. Finally paypal takes some time to decide who should win. They may ask you additional questions as well.

I suggest telling paypal all details about the game, including any glitches that are common he may be experiencing. Paypal most likely knows squat about the game, so inform them as to why you are right.

Best of luck 8)

@Ack - well I havnt received anything from paypal and there was a series of 3 or 4 messages in space of about 15 minutes earlier. If it was me and I was going to raise an issue I would have done it then while I was pissed. I havnt heard anything back from sega yet, I expect that will take at least a couple of days.

@Reverend - Thanks for the info on how this all works. I've come across one or two arseholes on ebay before but we've always been able to settle it before it got this stupid. I have already emailed ebay support and explained the situation and I am also waiting for a resonse from them.

I'm glad I stayed polite when answering the guy since I mightI end up forwarding the messages to pay pal, the urge to be rude was pretty strong.

The guys feedback all looks fine so what I think has happened is that he's spoke to sega and they have basically told him to get stuffed, he's got all frustrated and wound up and come and tried to pick a fight with me.

Bro, if it comes down to it, and this does get reported to paypal, make sure you use correct grammar, punctuation and excersize tact and convey polite and "eager to resolve" tone in all of your communications. It is obvious this guy is not capable of such things when typing. So, you will come off as very professional, and he'll look like an illiterate child. That should help things. I know this is annoying and frustrating, but sometimes you can "kill em with kindness", just like my old man always told me growing up. Best of luck to you, and please feel free to message me if you need any advice, or if you want me to type up sample responses for you to send paypal.
