Is this guy serious?

Post by Curlypaul »

The other month I saw HotDOverkill on sale for a silly price so I decided to take a risk, buy 2 and ebay one of the them. I finally get round to selling it and the buyer contacts me with this pile of horse poo:
hi , i purchased house of the dead overkill , witch i have recived thank you . but there are issues with the game , i've spoken to saga about this and they have told me this game is from a dud batch that should never be on the market for sale . Would you please give me a full refund plus postage and i will return the game back to you for you to deal with .
Hope to hear from you asap about this .
Many thanks Richard
I find this hard to believe as there is no word on the net about a dodgy batch, if sega know about it surely they would just switch it for him and I own the copy that was sat on the shelf next to it and that play absolutely fine.

I've messaged him back asking what the problem is and can I see the email from sega, but whatever he says I dont think I will be giving a refund and certainly not before he sends the game back as he suggested.

What a prize Tosser

Well he answered me and this is he response:
the correspondence with sega was by phone , tel no:08449919999 .
the problem is, only p1 can activate any games, make profiles and has full controll over the game . p1's gun is the only gun that makes any firing noises and there are major delays in loading and firing.sega have had several complaints regarding the exact same problems and have advised that these are dud games that should not have been sold. They have said we need to go back to the seller for a refund as they won't do an exchange .
I've emailed sega support to check if this is true, but even if it is then the guy can still go to hell - wtf does he expect me to do with it. Assuming the fucker is telling the truth.

and no don't send it back. Not your fault. You sold(I presume) what you described. If I go on eBay and cop one of the first generation X360 for cheap and it works but then red rings, whose fault is that? Not the sellers.

admittedly the game is buggy. More than a few times my roommate played and had to reset the game because she hopped into a level without any zombies. Just a stroll through a swamp. Despite this i don't think sega ever released another version.

plus- it is ebay. You get what the ad is for. Next time throw the phrase "as is" in there somewhere. It just shuts down the crybabies.

the game actually does freeze up in one of the later levels (right in the beginning) which can be fixed by resetting the game.
