There's (was) a 3-2-1 Contact Magazine? Really? Wow. I used to watch that show.dsheinem wrote:I recently discovered there was an emulator and lots of roms available for the first real gaming system I ever had as a kid (before I got my Atari). I used to play Parsec, Hopper, MunchMan, Car Wars, and Connect Four for hours. I also used to do some BASIC programming with it. I fondly remember typing for hours - often copying BASIC code from the back of a magazine (like the 3-2-1 Contact Magazine) and ending up with a few dots moving around the screen and beeping. I thought it was awesome. Anyway, here's some good stuff I found:
The Classic99 Emulator with 10 or so built in games:

Lots of additional ROMS:

Any other former (or current?!) TI-99 users?
Oh yeah, the TI-99 was my first ever game console. It's sitting in a box in my parents basement somewhere. I'll get it out when I move back to my home country of the great white north.
