I'm the strange one in my family; when I eat fried chicken I peel off the skin first. So while it's still worse than grilled (health-wise) it's not nearly as bad as it is with the skin.

Best never head south, Yankee.
I was under the impression that southern folk love BBQ, and have huge BBQ festivals to prove it.

Bojangles is the nastiest. Way to greasy. At least the two times I was ever there...

And in the South the deep fry everything. If you can think of eatting it, they have a deep fried version down there. I love going down south :D

I still can't figure out the South. At some point there were two guys sitting around, and one of them turned to the other and said, "You know, Bill, these Twinkies are good, but they aren't giving me a heart attack fast enough. How about we deep fry them?"

Oh we do, but we also have lots of fried food. Fried chicken. Fried catfish. Fried green tomatoes(sweet God in Heaven, I love those). The South easily has the best food in this country. I'll give Philly credit for the cheese steak, but as a general region, the South wins.

Might I recommend you some cookbooks?

Oh, I've got nothing against the "eat what tastes good" philosophy. Hell, that's how I live life. I'm just amazed that someone felt that Twinkies weren't deep fried enough.

Kind of reminds me of that Taco Shack skit on Saturday Night Live a while back. Look it up if you don't know what I mean.

This sounds like Scotland. They sell deep fried everything in Glasgow. Deep fried Mars bar, deep fried banana, deep fried ice cream (this defies the laws of physics, it's awesome), if you can batter it they've fried it.

those were some funny cook book names, to hell with health we are all going to die.
I personally believe to eat whatever taste good, yet sometimes if you got fast food places even though it taste good you can notice bad quality of the food which is I think you should not eat.

eat anything in reasonable quantities and you will be fine, I also think you should get your dosage of vitamins of healthy resources. Any way vegetables and fruits are delicious.

Can any one teach me how to do a fried Mars bar? I heard about this, but I cant travel for Scotland just for that. Fried ice cream is a new idea, how is it possible?
