To be honest, their control schemes are pretty hard to wrap your head around, sort of like when a platformer uses up for jump. They are enjoyable for what they are, but I personally don't think they are worth the effort, and I enjoyed the first one quite a lot back in the day.

BMX XXX is more of the same, it was actually originally meant to be Dave Mirra 3, it is the worst of the bunch.

Yeah, I seem to recall I couldn't quite get on board with the control scheme. I will give them a miss. The Skate series sounds interesting though.
