I don't even know if I'd call it "campy". I think it edges closer to "awkward" than anything. But I will admit it was kind of funny that Dracula spent like half the movie doing his Psychic-death-glare at people. He stood out in the middle of people's front yard doing it, too. Dude, you're not subtle at all and they know where you live because you told everyone!

I was this close to watching Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. I should have went with that instead for the 100% campy viewing experience.

Scored the 4K Blu-ray yesterday, so I decided to watch this last night before bed.

I definitely enjoyed watching this but at the same time it didn't really leave much of an impact. It was nowhere near as good as the original Gene Wilder film, of which this is I guess either a prequel or reboot of, but I'd definitely put this on around Thanksgiving if the kids want to watch it.

I was originally going to rewatch the first two before watching this, but after getting the Frozen Kingdom 4K Blu-ray recently I decided to pop this in last night.

I thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely revisit this one if/when I get around to rewatching the Ghostbusters films.

Last night, after work, I threw this on before bed. Normally, I don't watch movies on nights where I work, especially if I have to get up early for my other job the next day. But between a busy AF day at both jobs and it being July 4th, I decided to throw this on while waiting for my special July 4th dinner (a pair of Stouffer French bread pizzas) and watching the Avon Pier fireworks from my couch (I just opened the front door and watched the fireworks for a bit).

I still enjoy this and REALLY hope we get a sequel. Rumor is that there MIGHT be a chance if Inside Out 2 does well in theaters.

I definitely enjoyed this and REALLY hope we get a sequel, especially since this one added...
a new offshoot of the Ghostbusters enterprise focusing on new technology and ghost research.
Also, does anyone else think that James Acaster's character is kinda cute?

For the first time in over a year, I got to have a movie night (or to be pedantic, an afternoon movie) with three of my niblings, including my rambunctious four-year-old nephew. I made a cake (orange cake with strawberry soda, lemon cake with orange soda, misremembering the latter layer and thinking it was strawberry), though it turns out one of my nieces was recently discovered to be allergic to oranges. And the film we watched?

I didn't discover this cult classic until I was an adult and I HONESTLY wish I discovered this as a child. The late great David Bowie, who earned his wings eight years ago, is just a sheer DELIGHT as Jareth The Goblin King, who ironically is supposed to be a fairy of sorts.

Watched this before bed last night. IIRC this is my first A24 film and I was thoroughly engrossed in its story.

To be honest, it's a pretty slow burn for such a short film but literally in the last 20-30 minutes it damn near bursts into flames.

I watched this one this weekend and disagree. Apart from a few gags, I did not particularly enjoy this movie. I haven't seen a movie lean so hard on nostalgia since the last Matrix movie. It's even worse in this regard than Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and that one brought back
Gozer the Gozerian and the ghost of Egon Spengler
.

I think I said it before, but I'll take the widely-hated 2016 Ghostbusters over either of the way-too-late sequels. I did feel like that one leaned a little to heavily on the whole "girl power" aspect, but it did its own thing and a lot of great comedic performances. I genuinely believe that it if wasn't called "Ghostbusters" people would have really enjoyed it for what it was.
