I like Orton. I don't know much about him behind the scenes. I'm only commenting on him as a performer. A lot of what he does in the ring he does really smoothly. He's had some fun gimmicks like the Legend Killer, the Apex predator. He's in his element as a heel, even as a face he still feels heelish. Heel Orton is the best Orton. I liked the fact that as a heel Orton came across like a legit psycho who should be in a jail cell for life and away from civilized people. He did some awful stuff as a heel, even to some of the women in WWE.
I remember at one point in time he was sort of viewed as the number 2 guy in the company after Cena and he's far more tolerable as a performer than Cena EVER was. Orton doesn't loudly call out spots in the middle of a match like that dipshit John Cena does. Orton can have great matches when he wants to, he's had some great ones on Smackdown with Christian. I always enjoyed the no bullshit character Orton has, while Cena always comes across as so fake and forced in everything that he does.
There was a thing that caught on years ago. These Randy Orton "vines". They were hilarious:
My favorite joshis have no luck:

Not to mention Shida losing her title to the woman using a gimmick that feels like WWE at its worst. "Timeless" Toni Storm is fucking embarrassing. One of the reasons I hype up Orange Cassidy so much is that there is a cleverness to his schtick. Toni Storm's current gimmick is just stupid.
Drew Mcintyre is such a cool heel right now. He was in the main event. He wanted ZERO help from Judgment Day and he beat Jey Uso clean. Heels that can kick ass without being cheap or cowardly or so uncommon in wrestling. Frankly, Drew is being written better than most of the characters on Raw. I can't even think of a single face that has shown the depth of character that he has right now. Why can't WWE write babyfaces well? Drew actually has a story that goes back a few years to where he is now and his heel turn actually feels like character progression.
Anyway, haven't watched Full Gear but my God, what the hell was the clusterfuck of a storyline that they did with MJF? It sounds ridiculous from everything I'm hearing. I've noticed that people watching the show also complained about AEW starting to feel AND look too much like WWE. I heard comments about the LED lights and the white ropes.
AEW really needs to figure out what its identity is
Oh, and Rhonda Rousey may be on Tony Kahn's payroll now. So that's interesting I guess.
EDIT: You gotta hand it to Tony Kahn, he is able to get his hands on some big stars. Edge, Ronda Rousey, possibly Sasha Banks at some point. I could even see Charlotte there one day. She had a falling out with Becky Lynch like a year or two ago and she's got family in AEW already
