I love how WWE just trolled fans of both Randy Orton and CM Punk who are hoping either are returning.

They uploaded a clip of an old Randy Orton match this morning, who is expected to return next week ready for Survivor Series. But in the video, CM Punk was also on commentary...

The video was apparently removed after half an hour.

I can't help feeling they know what they are doing

It is being reported that the "major" signing being announced at Full Gear is:
Will Ospreay.

(He was discounted earlier, due to his contract not being up until the end of January, but apparently thanks to AEW's relationship with NJPW, they are allowing the company to announce his signing early)
Perhaps they could be the Devil too... :?:

See, here's the thing I hate about Tony Kahn. We've seen Ospreay wrestle on AEW, more than once. It's not a big signing when you've already had the guy performing multiple times on your show already.

That's a good point actually.

Why does he announce everything in advance anyway? These things would have a bigger impact if they aren't announced and tease ahead of schedule. I would say it would be shocking if he made a surprise debut, but then actually, that wouldn't be that shocking since, as you point out, Ospreay has already done that a number of times.

You might get your wish, Raging Justice. Fightful are reporting that WWE will debut a new song for Raw soon (possibly as soon as tonight).

Hopefully it's better than the last few they have had.

So am I the only person who doesn't care about Randy Orton? I call him Randy Borton. It's not particularly clever or funny, but the guy is boring. Boring character, mediocre in the ring, no charisma, boring as a heel, boring as a face. The man is boring. Plus DDP did his finisher gimmick better.

I never liked him either. He was also a complete asshole to so many people when he was younger.

Yeah, if he never had that Cutter as his finisher, he would have been out of the industry. But, he was saved by HHH in Evolution and is now compared to John Cena.

He would purposely have slow matches to derail people's pushes. He derailed Kofi Kingston's career because of a missed spot during a match. He got Ken Kennedy fired for a botch spot. He would expose himself to several females in the locker room. And not to mention that all of his promos are the same dull ones. He has never evolved as a wrestler. All of his best RKO's are being done by the other person as he just has to kind of catch somebody.

I've heard the Doctor's say that his back is so messed up that he really shouldn't be wrestling. I understand not going out by your own choice, but I think it might be time to hang it up. You have nothing more to accomplish and there aren't any dream matches left for you.

I actually forgot most of that stuff and now I remember why I really detest the guy.

Wasn't it Kofi that there's a clip of him berating in the ring after he messes up a spot?

I like Orton. I don't know much about him behind the scenes. I'm only commenting on him as a performer. A lot of what he does in the ring he does really smoothly. He's had some fun gimmicks like the Legend Killer, the Apex predator. He's in his element as a heel, even as a face he still feels heelish. Heel Orton is the best Orton. I liked the fact that as a heel Orton came across like a legit psycho who should be in a jail cell for life and away from civilized people. He did some awful stuff as a heel, even to some of the women in WWE.

I remember at one point in time he was sort of viewed as the number 2 guy in the company after Cena and he's far more tolerable as a performer than Cena EVER was. Orton doesn't loudly call out spots in the middle of a match like that dipshit John Cena does. Orton can have great matches when he wants to, he's had some great ones on Smackdown with Christian. I always enjoyed the no bullshit character Orton has, while Cena always comes across as so fake and forced in everything that he does.

There was a thing that caught on years ago. These Randy Orton "vines". They were hilarious:

My favorite joshis have no luck:

Not to mention Shida losing her title to the woman using a gimmick that feels like WWE at its worst. "Timeless" Toni Storm is fucking embarrassing. One of the reasons I hype up Orange Cassidy so much is that there is a cleverness to his schtick. Toni Storm's current gimmick is just stupid.

Drew Mcintyre is such a cool heel right now. He was in the main event. He wanted ZERO help from Judgment Day and he beat Jey Uso clean. Heels that can kick ass without being cheap or cowardly or so uncommon in wrestling. Frankly, Drew is being written better than most of the characters on Raw. I can't even think of a single face that has shown the depth of character that he has right now. Why can't WWE write babyfaces well? Drew actually has a story that goes back a few years to where he is now and his heel turn actually feels like character progression.

Anyway, haven't watched Full Gear but my God, what the hell was the clusterfuck of a storyline that they did with MJF? It sounds ridiculous from everything I'm hearing. I've noticed that people watching the show also complained about AEW starting to feel AND look too much like WWE. I heard comments about the LED lights and the white ropes.

AEW really needs to figure out what its identity is

Oh, and Rhonda Rousey may be on Tony Kahn's payroll now. So that's interesting I guess.

EDIT: You gotta hand it to Tony Kahn, he is able to get his hands on some big stars. Edge, Ronda Rousey, possibly Sasha Banks at some point. I could even see Charlotte there one day. She had a falling out with Becky Lynch like a year or two ago and she's got family in AEW already

So I don't know if any of you are aware that Alex Abrahantes is a regular on QVC. He sells laptops and stuff on there. I just saw him showing off a photo book that he made using a laptop they are selling, and it had pictures of him in AEW and ROH. So this of course got the co host to talk a bit about pro wrestling.

It's kind of cool that's he introducing pro wrestling to QVC viewers, or just introducing any existing wrestling fans who are watching QVC to AEW.

He's a bit of a geek too. I saw him on youtube playing with that self transforming, talking, Optimus Prime from Robsen
