Together Retro December 2021 - Camelot on the Spot

Yeah, once I'm able to make that claw, I might swap in Doyle for Rodi. Rodi's good but I like to mix up the party with different classes, and I think Akane's group healing ability is something I'm going to want to have on-hand throughout the rest of the game.

Akane, Melody, and Lisa (last character) all get access to Aura, but Akane gets it the fastest. And yes, you 100% will want it, as it's more mana efficient than the regular healing spells. Aura 1 is 7 MP to cast Heal 1 on everyone (2 MP per), for a 1MP discount. Aura 2 is 11 MP for Heal 2 on everyone (4 MP per), for a 5 MP discount. Aura 3 is 15 MP for Heal 3 on everyone (6 MP per), so a 9 MP discount. And Aura 4 is 20 MP for Heal 4 on everyone (8 MP per), so a 12 MP discount. And that doesn't include the action economy savings, or the fact that outside of battle (and maybe inside of battle, I didn't swap much) it hits all characters, not just the active party.

I only used Arkane and Melody to heal during battle. I used Lisa (and Melody when grinding) to heal the whole party from the bench. That is the best part of this game is that your bench characters get XP and you can use their magic to heal outside of battle.

As we are now in the new year, I just want to thank everyone for participating in December's Together Retro and sharing their experiences with the games they played! I hope everyone discovered a game they enjoyed or revisited a favorite. It was great to chat about Camelot's games with everyone here, as I'm a huge fan of their titles but I don't usually get a chance to talk about them with others too often.

I'm still working on my playthrough of Shining the Holy Ark, so I will continue to post updates in the thread. For anyone else still working on their games, please feel free to keep us all updated on your progress!

I feel that we had a good turn out this month, so thanks to everyone for participating and adding to the discussion! I'm hoping that Together Retro will continue in some form or fashion, as it's a great to way to enjoy and discuss a similar gaming experience and discover games I would not have ordinarily played.
