I mainly use my twitter to post when my site has a new article/post and follow others who do the same (i.e. racketboy since I don't usually check the main page for new stuff)

Only around 30% of Twitter members ever log back in after their first month.

Talk about bad retention.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.
