I think Diablo III is way better with a controller as well. Using the right analog stick to dodge stuff is fantastic.
I could see that. I intend to try it too as the game is confirmed for Nintendo Switch. I have it for PC so I ended up just using the classic D2 style mouse/keyboard setup.
It may be reality but as consoles have turned into computers, more and more games I've seen feel and play notably more comfortable using a controller with dual analogs than the traditional mouse/keyboard combo that has been hot stuff since like Quake 1 appeared 20 years ago. I think it's a dynamic shift to pander to the console market as so many more console games are going in better form to Steam and in cases GoG too so it's like a side effect it's dragging the old PC greats new sequels into this trench too. DOOM (2016) for me plays more comfortably using a controller than the mouse and keyboard as well.
Segata that still is both a grating and amusing GIF though.

I think it's a mix of retroactive love, and just the fact that the games have aged so well and it has many unique titles both just Nintendo controlled that system only had, and then some lovely Dreamcast hand offs (like Skies of Arcadia and Ikaruga.) I get the system never really won you or lost you, but I am curious what all games you played on there that were unique offerings?
