House of the Dead 1 is abandonware, so you can get it free legally on PC.

Interesting concept -- you'd have to be quite coordinated to improve your scores that way though.Ivo wrote:Are any of these games playable on MAME with a PC gun? I actually have the original VC1 and VC2 and a couple of Saturn guns. But I don't want to also get a couple of DC guns, for example...
In any case, does anyone try to play 2 guns at the same time? I tried several times, it's cool but rather hard for me (what tends to happen is I just fire 1 gun at a time... Saves a bit on the reloading and aiming, as each gun covers half the screen).
Ivo.

Re: Together Retro: Sega Light Gun Extravaganva
Well I picked up a Wii on Craigslist tonight and it included house of the dead 2 and 3, so I wanted to get peoples opinions on which "gun" they were using. Before I even bought a Wii I picked up one of Nintendo's Official Zappers because it included Link's Crossbow Training. The Wii I bought tonight had 2 Nyko Perfect Shots.
Any thoughts on best light gun shell for Wii?

Perfect Shots hands down. Its only two defects are it is alittle fat in the handle and that it uses a manual trigger (though all of the controllers have that second problem).

I have a friend who can absolutely dominate with two guns. It's really something to see.
when we play HOTD together, he's the sharp shooter, and I'm the machine gunner so to speak. It helps that my guns are microswitched, I'm sure most of you guys have seen the tutorial I wrote, but in case anyone with a saturn or PS1 missed it;

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

why would we update a thread about games we played together three years ago?d123456 wrote:Needs to be updated sometime to reflect the releases of HOTDIII & 4 on the ps3.

yeah that article is just the introduction to the games we were playing for Together Retro that month. The Together Retro articles don't get updated, as they are just for that particular month.d123456 wrote: Oh sorry, I thought about this article http://www.racketboy.com/retro/together ... -gun-games

We should really contemplate doing a Light Gun month next year.
