I'm gonna go with WarioLand II. It was my first GameBoy Color game and it was really fun. I never completed all the seperate paths but i still had a blast with it. I recall this one hilarious extra path in the game was in the very beginning of the game. you don't move and let Wario sleep and you somehow beat the level.
I eventually went back and played 1, never really liked 3, and 4 was pretty good too.
Anyone recommend WarioWorld for the GCN?
I'd always wanted t play it but no-one EVER mentions it.
What's the best Wario game to come out so far?

I've never played it, but the Hidden Gems article for the gamecube does mention it.krunkfu2 wrote:Anyone recommend WarioWorld for the GCN?

I kid, I kid. The games went from "get treasure" to "solve puzzle and get treasure"
I can see that not being someone's cup of tea.

I love Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. It really feels like you're playing as Mario's Evil twin because the game play is so similar to Super Mario world for SNES. It's a pure platformer that makes me grin everytime I see Wario's slanted gin. I love the power-up system because it's so simple and effective.
Wario Land 2 came as a drastic change. I disliked the invincibility at first, but then I realized that you need it to complete certain puzzles. The level "defeat four ducks" comes to mind as a example of a level that requires you to use your invincibility to solve a puzzle. This game has a lot of replay value because the levels change over and over.
Everything about Wario Land 2 was improved in Wario Land 3. The first time I played the first few levels, I was frustrated with Wario's weakness. The increased power came quickly and the rest of the game was a blast. If there is one drawback, Some puzzles in Wario 3 are easier than the puzzles in Wario 2.
Overall, the first Wario Land is my favorite. I'd like to try the Virtualboy version. By looking at the screenshots, I assume that it uses the same power-ups as Wario Land 1.

I mean.. warioworld is done in big part by a little known developer called... TREASURE. That alone should be enough for a recommendation
But yeah, It's totally badass, I'm a big fan.
