Re: Nominate the Best 2D/Retro Games of 2017
It seems to me that there should be a category for best physical release of 2017. A number of us (myself included) mentioned games that were released online previously, but only got a physical release this year. Come to think of it, a category for Nintendo Switch ports might be a good idea for similar reasons.

Re: Nominate the Best 2D/Retro Games of 2017
Most of my favorites have been mentioned already, a few more
Double Dragon 4, came out very early in the year but I loved it, and it will be a game that gets thrown into my rotation of games
Tiny Barbarian DX, originally came out a few years ago but was incomplete, full game dropped this year and it is a great, challenging, co-op platformer. Last boss is terrible and almost ruins the whole experience but the rest of the game is worth talking about
Mr. Shifty, incredible top down action game where you teleport around and punch people, one of the most exhilarating games I played this year and well worth checking out for any fan of action games or nightcrawler.
Half past disaster, cool, unique platformer/puzzle platformer. You have a time limit but the time does not tick and the enemies do not move unless you are moving. Fun game and I can't say I played anything like it before.
Hole new world: 2d platformer where there is no death from falling into pits, instead you get put into an upside down world with reverse gravity. Pretty standard nes style game but well made and unique enough to warrant a playthrough.
Spark: the electric jester: for all you sonic fans, this is a sonic style game with several different mario style costumes/power ups. An absolute must play for sonic fans, don't know if its better or worse than mania but it should definitely be played by all sonic fans

The article mentions The Mummy Demastered and SMT: Synchronicity Prologue, so it is a success.
Nice job for real though Racket!

Speaking of Sonic Mania and a physical release though, whatever happened to this rumour?ElkinFencer10 wrote:I Am Setsuna, not Sonic Mania. It looked so good I imported a physical release of it and it did not disappoint.
