You can try, but the more likely outcome is that I will wear your intestines for a belt.

I believe Exhuminator that we should never play together. The sheer kinetic force of the combat would rend the Earth open, knock the planet out of alignment, and render all species sterile.

noiseredux knows what it's like to play a game with me. Now he cries himself to sleep every night at the things he has seen.

Some of my fondest gaming memories come from Pokemon Blue Version and then, a little later, Counter-Strike 1.5

Those were the days...

I'm gonna throw my buddy Bogus a bone here and resurrect this thread.

Five happy gaming thoughts from your resident curmudgeon:

I'm really enjoying my personal gaming summer challenge. It's fun going back trying to find oceanic or tropical themed games and playing them, beating some of them, and reviewing them. I've found a lot of kooky stuff I never would have known existed if it weren't for following up on this goofy idea.

I'm looking forward to Ever Oasis, I like what I see there.

I would like to see Microsoft's augmented reality stuff take precedence and become influential. Every time I've messed with augmented reality gaming (via 3DS and smartphone) I've always had a fun time. It'd be great to see this become a head to head counterpoint to VR.

My wife and I have been playing through Kirby's Dream Course and having a great time. I've always loved Dream Course and believed it was underrated, and she too really enjoys the game.

Lastly... although I'm not personally a big fan of modern Nintendo*, I can appreciate that they are still making games which continue to make people feel joy.

*I'm still a big fan of NES-Wii era Nintendo though.

Anyone else care to share a happy gaming thought?

Over the weekend my kid was in the backseat while I drove out and back to the flea market. She had brought that GBC I got her along. Super Mario Land got to her a bit (the pyramid game she called it) because it didn't handle like SMB DX. I convinced her it had 1/2 the levels and was easier after a bit, she cranked more into it, and didn't take too long she was waving it at me she cleared 1-1 on it and kept on going. Very nice.

I just got back into EverQuest. However I play on EQEmu private servers. Information to follow.

I play on a server called RaidAddicts, which is a 100% custom server. This is NOT your typical EQ server. If you want the experience of EverQuest back in the day, there is a server called Project 1999.

On RaidAddicts you are allowed to use multiple accounts and box the using software called MQ2. I have 6 toons that I use. The max level 105 which is a bitch to reach. There are potions you can buy to get to 100 (I believe there is one that will get you to 104). They cost GUK coins which you earn for killing various mobs.

Ill leave it at that, if you want to play on EQEmulator servers, send me a PM and Ill get you what you need to join ^_^

I should post something here because I have done more than my fair share of bitching on the forums in the past few weeks...

My factory sealed copy of Gravitar for the Atari 2600 should be delivered tomorrow. I can't wait to open a brand new Atari game for the first time in my life (I'm only 35 - too young for the Atari in it's heyday).

I've been playing through Zombie Army Trilogy over Xbox Live with my uncle. It turns out that I am really good at this game! Popping zombie heads with a scoped M-15 Carbine is amazingly fun.

I have also recently discovered the joy that is the Serious Sam series.
Have: Sega Genesis, SNES, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 800XL, PC, N3DS XL, Wii U, GBA, Xbox One, Switch

Want: Games!!!

June 2011. Was already a tough year for me. I was only a few months in to my new life of not having a job post congestive heart failure and spending time in a mental ward for attempted suicide. We were waiting on the news for my disability application. One day I get the mail and the results...they denied me. I sunk into a depression. Mom drove over hearing the news and she normally wants nothing to do with gaming. She drove me over to my favorite retro gaming store. Bought me Ys on Sega Master System,Final Zone on SEGA Genesis and Greendog on Genesis. Then we went out for Pizza. I felt like a kid again and was a great day.
