Apparently there's too much negativity on the forum lately. Well that's fun and all, but let's flip it around for one thread. Howabout a place with the sole purpose of talking about your good times with gaming? This can be nostalgic memories, or your most recent joyful gaming experiences. Or just positive thoughts on gaming in general. If you're a happy gamer and you know it, then your posts will surely show it.

So there was this one time yeaaaars ago when I playing Call of Duty: World at War online (I had it for Wii), and I was on that map with the Japanese castle. So I was on the faaaaar back wall where it's a straight view from one corner to the other. This guy shoots me enough so that I go into Last Stand, so I'm bleeding out on the ground, and all I have is my revolver, and this guy's climbing up a ladder into a building like a punk ass bitch. I don't even bother aiming down the sights - I just point and shoot - and I get a headshot on this moving target from the other end of the map hip firing.

Considering that my usual K/D spread in shooters is somewhere around 0.25, I consider that the crowning achievement of my FPS life.

I just ordered a sealed copy of Wing Commander II Deluxe Edition on eBay for only $20 and it looks like it's in beautiful condition. I don't normally go in for sealed collecting and I already own the game in both physical and digital form but it's my favorite game of all time and I'm really happy to be getting it for display.

Last night I was playing Sleeping Dogs and I thought it'd be funny to just run around Hong Kong in nothing but my boxers. I called up Tiffany for a date and we sang karaoke in a swanky bar. I knocked out The Clash's "I Fought the Law" in nothing but my boxers, and Tiff didn't even judge me. I might even stop cheating on Tiffany and dump Amanda because a man's gotta sing half naked in public.

Most of my favorite stories revolve around finding amazing deals when I was younger on video games. Like finding my SNES (that is still in use!) at a yard sale for $55 with Final Fantasy III/VI. (There's a longer story there, but I won't go into it right now!)

I also remember the brother helping out immensely in a couple of cases. There used to be a salvage store we would stop by, but I'd had a disappointing day and didn't want to stop. He did, so the parents took us by. What did I find there? Only the holy grail that I'd been trying to find for years, Dragon Warrior II. I also remember cringing when the guy plopped it up on the glass counter nonchalantly. But yeah, I've still got that copy. :)

There was also the time that the bro and I had already spent money on Tales of Destiny II earlier that day. We walked into a Software, Etc., and they had Suikoden II. I didn't really want to buy it at first, but he says, "What if we never see it again?" Yeah, it got bought, and that was an astoundingly prescient move. :)

Oh, and finding a complete Chrono Trigger. Actually, the brother found that first, didn't buy it, and asked me if I wanted it or not. I was all like "you didn't buy it already, oh crap, hurry to the pawn shop!"

Back before Earthbound hit the Virtual Console and prices slipped, I found a near-mint condition cartridge with an equally well preserved strategy guide for $125. Not quite the steal that some of yall talk about, but I was pretty impressed with my luck on that one.

Maybe it's because of work-related stress, but I find that I gravitate more and more towards games with charming artwork, and more tame story lines these days. I find myself not wanting to play much in the "grimdark" category.

Last night I discovered just how charming Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon is - if that game can't make you smile from time to time... seek help!

I miss that feeling. I don't get to play games with other people very often anymore.

I'll throw this in. I absoultly love going into my game room and playing now what I want. I love the fact of my friends coming over. I love reliving the glory days of the Genesis and nes and the snes. I can't wait for my taxes to come to get my everdrives.
I also love of thinking and planing and trying to find stuff for my game room. Every time I either get a new game or a new system or even trying to find stuff to either neaten the room or add retro to it I get excited.

Goldeneye for Wii was AMAZING, and it's the main reason that I'm upset that they took the NWC down.
