So who watched the Battlestar Galactica finale?

I really enjoyed the finale although I am sad that it also means the series is done. I think it did a fair job of wrapping up some of the lose ends but there were a few unanswered questions that I would of liked some kind of resolution to. Its possible that they covered it and it flew right over my head but why was Hera so important. It seems that even before her birth the cylons and the humans have been obsessed with her survival but why was she so important?

I also found the state of the cylons ambiguous. The human cylons that were not with Cavill joined the humans on Earth 2, their Centurions were given freedom and left in the basestar. What happened to the rest, were they all in Cavill's colony that got nuked or were there more colonies? And speaking of cylons where did the old-school centurions come from? Maybe I'm reading too much into all of this and should subscribe to some more suspension of disbelief.
