Does the Switch have online play now? How is it?

switch has always had online play, haven't gotten the game yet...waiting for my package and will be busting it out tonight for sure.

I thought it was going to be a paid service like on PSN and XBL...no?

It will be later this year, but for now it is free. I think it is gonna go paid when they get their virtual console up and running with the new online elements

Yeah they said later summer so I was thinking August or when splatoon 2 comes out or something.

I can imagine it coinciding with Splatoon. Maybe they'll launch it a little later and promote it as '1 month online free for early adopters' or something.

I can't see paying for something later that they are giving me for free now. Being able to play old games that disappear after a month is not enough of an added incentive for me, either.

Their wording is ambiguous so we don't know if they disappear for that month or with the end of your membership.

BUT to get back on topic, since the author of the thread isn't around much to update this one...is it ok if we make a new one to update with tournament INFO and friend codes
