I just accidently bought a boot of Metal Slug 5 on MVS for $120!!! I had no idea it was a boot until I got it home opened it up and questioned its authenticity. So I took pics of the eprom chips and PCB board and posted it on Neo-geo.com to make sure it was boot before I contacted the ebay seller. And sure enough it was BOOTylicious and it was only worth about 25 bucks. But luckily I received a speedy reponse from the seller saying that he had no idea what a boot was and refunded my money immediately , and I sent it back to him. Then turned around and bought the real one for $140 (and other ones that I will post soon) on the forum from a trust worthy fella.
I am a gamer not an anal collector , but if I spent 120 on a game, I would like for it to be legit . BTW I invited that ebay seller to drop by here and join, he seemed like a cool cat and he would fit in well here.
PS: majority of the times boots have graphic glitches and sound glitches through out the game.
Well, of the four games I've got, only one seems to have any graphical glitches, and that's The Super Spy, so I'm not too concerned. Likely it's because I didn't seat the cartridge correctly. I made that mistake when I put in Samurai Shodown 2 for the first time, and had to pull it out and put it in again. From now on, I'll test new carts before screwing the back of the machine back on...

That's how I got my SSVsp. Collector buddy of mine gotta "deal" that ended up being a real doozy of a boot. Someone took the AES home port ROM and burnt it to a MVS cart...this means there is no desperation finishing animations. Other than that it works fine. For $20 I spent to buy it off him after he got a "real" one, I'm not gonna complain.

Yeah , you can save some money, i am just really anal about it being a true cart.
Awesome find. I've been playing Samurai Showdown IV (what's that 4?) all week on mine. I'm looking for that motorcycle game Rider something. Anyone? I want a racing game that has the forward view. did they make many for neo geo?
