Before calling it a lie, as it's convenient to your personal world view, perhaps go dig and find that crime data. Perhaps the cop is pissed off and honest, not an anti-immigrant troll looking to start crap online.

Just for sake of argument here, pretend we do find this information and it backs him up completely that in his part of Sweden (if not nationally if that were found too) that since they started allowing in migrants from the middle east hot spots that various crimes have gone on a rise and correlate to those populations of people disproportionately causing those crimes? What would you argue then? If the data were there to back up his claim it's not a pretty picture you couldn't deny.

What conclusions am I jumping to? My sanity is in question because I am baffled by the ignorance of some people. I don't want to dabble in pretending. Our president is addressing the nation based on information provided by a single police officer on facebook. I don't think that is a conversation I'm willing to even entertain, if the problem isn't immediately obvious to everyone involved.

Well, I read the article from Fox and it looks like the one community that is being so hard-hit is Malmo, and it says the population is 32% migrants. Sweden may not be doing a good job spreading the migrants around throughout the country. With that high a concentration of migrants the city may not have adequate jobs or support infrastructure, meaning there may be a lot of economic and social pressure on those migrants. Being in a modern, 1st world nation is great and all, but if you can't get a job and therefore can't participate in that modern society, you end up with modern-day slums. Just because Sweden has a problem linked to migrants doesn't mean that the migrants are necessarily the problem. If Sweden hasn't taken the right steps to support the migrants they agreed to take, that can create all sorts of problems. It isn't easy to take in lots of migrants and resettle them. You have to be committed to it. (IMO, given how much war we've waged in the middle east, we have an obligation to be committed to accepting middle-eastern migrants and resettling them.)

The Fox article, and the officer's tweet, and Trump's impulse word barf don't give us enough information to really know where the problem is.

So, based on the current logic of Trump and his minions we must do away with all Italians, Blacks, Mexicans, Muslims, Haitians, Whites (Yes we have gangs too), Asians, and well....everyone really. Everyone. Ever, who has had a portion of their race or religion associated with violence. That should fix violence. Problem solved.

Now it makes total sense. Complete eradication of the human species would in fact take care of all our problems. I see the logic.

Please point to where you see Trump singling out Italians, Blacks, Asians and so on? That's just a drama filled sentence. It's annoying me I have to sound like a damned Trump supporter in this but damn at least base an argument in reality. And then to cap it off you joke about human total genocide to solve the problem.

I know he was pissing you guys off being all over the board like some kid without his ADD meds but I can see why he gave up arguing if that's the kind of "logic" being used here. It's reminding me why I stopped posting too as it's pointless trying to argue with unhinged behavior. With him gone and if I button up again, it should be interesting Sarge aside watching like minded people sitting around moaning and agreeing with each other as that'll get boring fast.

I don't believe I insinuated Trump said all those things. I assumed that reading comprehension and dedictive reasoning would allow people to follow that particular line of sarcastic venting.

Once again I've extended too much credit. You probably shouldn't assume that because there are a few of you on the same side of the fence that some equivalency exists there.

There have been some well reasoned posts from the right. I think pretty much everybody is clear where they have come from, and where they did not.

Same could be said from the left. Seriously though, read the room. That post was clearly not intended to be a well reasoned argument.

As a former resident of Sweden. An immigrant if you will, with a lot of Swedish friends I also feel I'm somewhat more grounded to state that based on an eye-witness account, Trump was talking horseshit.

Admittedly though, I wasn't there "last night" at ground zero.
