Either way though I agree, end up having to use Pocket Gamer a UK site that covers any form of handheld gaming (Nintendo, Sony, Android, iOS, etc things.) Great for reviews, break down of IAP usage in titles (if it's fair, abusive, a whale, etc), previews, weekly best releases, freebies, and other junk.

Pocket Gamer is excellent.

One you don't see much of but I hear are nice on there are flight sims (anything from space to wannabe real sims) and not just planes but choppers, gliders, whatever.

I only know of a handful of supposedly good flight sims on Android. And I haven't tried any of them out myself yet to confirm. You might like this link though:

Another Android thread I've been thinking about making is one focusing on gamebooks, as I love playing gamebooks on my phones. I haven't made it yet because I don't think that's a popular genre around here.

Gamebooks like I'm talking about have character stats, inventory, battling, and puzzle solving, in addition to making plot changing decisions. They're a hybrid of RPG and CYOA.

If I have one complaint about Android gaming, it's that the Google Play store is trash insofar as browsing it usefully is concerned. It needs a far better filtering system, but Google won't do that, for reasons which all boil down to $$$.

If you guys are interested in other genres let me know, I might have some goodies for ya.

Deathsmiles is on the Play Store, though it has not worked on any Android device I've ever tried it on. Perhaps it only worked on a much older version of Android.
