For my 4-bit, 8-bit gaming I use a really old T.V, it has no coaxial, but has the VHF and UHF screws!
I just screw in an adapter and the games look beautiful!

For retro gaming, a traditional crt tv between 19"-27". For 16-bit and lower i recommend coax so that you get the appropriate blurring effects. 32bit you can use composite on those same type tv's.

If you can get your hands on one you can't get much better than a rgb monitor.

Sony wegas always look great. Sure they weigh a million pounds....but they look fantastic for older games.
