Ah, you mean the Schwarzenegger zombie film? Excellent, I've been looking forward to it.Exhuminator wrote:Maggie (2015)

An underrated apocalyptic drama with a surprising amount of heart and an ending most won't expect.
What was the last movie you've seen?

Yes, that's the one. People went in thinking this was going to be something it wasn't. I enjoyed the film, but I totally understand why it didn't work for most viewers.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Ooh, I wanted to see that one! Good to hear it's worth watching.
Trailers up for Justice League, Wonder Woman, and Fantastic Beasts:
Justice League
Wonder Woman
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
I'm in the very (I assume) minor group that didn't hate BvS, so I'm not assuming that these will be bad. I hope they learned some lessons from BvS though certainly. Out of the two, I think Wonder Woman looks like more fun, despite having that guitar riff thing that I didn't like in BvS. Hopefully it has that same feel of Captain America, with the old America and superhero feel to it!

Saw the new Star Trek. This one is the closest to actually feeling like an episode of the show. I enjoyed the first movie, even if it wasn't quite Star Trek, and the second one tried too hard to line up with Wrath of Khan.
Lots more special effects, of course. Solid stuff overall.

I watched BvS last night - the theatrical version, since I neglected to fully read the packaging on the version I bought. Technically, I do have the Ultimate Edition on 4K...just no 4K player or TVStark wrote: I'm in the very (I assume) minor group that didn't hate BvS, so I'm not assuming that these will be bad. Can't say I hated it. There were elements to like. I'd say it was just too much trying to cram different takes on the characters together, or include parts of comic series/arcs...with not enough effort spent on making a functional narrative. Being fair, all of the major superhero productions have done the same thing to an extent - Age of Ultron and X-Men Apocalypse come to mind - but BvS is more or less trying to skip past spending a decade+ establishing its versions of the characters before doing an ensemble film.
Part of that is the Wonder Woman movie, which does look like it'll be fun. So, maybe BvS will play better down the road, when the DC cinematic universe has been fleshed out more. Or the 30 minutes added to the Ultimate Edition does that. I wouldn't know.

I just watched the Ultimate Edition and I don't know if this is even worth spoilering, but I'll do it anyway.isiolia wrote:Part of that is the Wonder Woman movie, which does look like it'll be fun. It's a bad sign when your dream sequences are more interesting than your movie.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
It was cool looking and had a great feel, but what does it mean and how does it relate to the rest of the movie? Not clear at all to me.

I know a bunch of you guys are into horror, so I thought I'd mention that at the Rob Zombie show tonight he showed a trailer of his new film 31 and mentioned there'd be a limited theatrical release in September.
