Here's what I wish (and do let me know if this is actually slated happen): I want Nintendo to create a bare-bones standalone device for Pokemon Go that comes with its own data plan. Instead of having to pay a cell carrier for data, I would pay Nintendo some small amount, like $5 or $10 a month, as basically a subscription charge.
The devices would obviously be designed to look like the Pokedexes from the different mainline games.
This plan makes even more sense as you consider the fact that young children who don't have phones yet will want to play. It will also cut down on privacy concerns, since your Pokedex Go won't have any other apps or personal information on it.
I'm not in it for the battling or the socializing... I just want to be able to go for walks around the graveyard near my house, which is a pokestop, and do my solo trainer thing. (Guess who's going to be using her pokewalker today?)
Also, if they come up with some kind of real-world process for shiny hunting, holy hell guys, I might as well sell my house and live out of a backpack.
Come on, Nintendo. Make Key's dreams come true.
