What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

It's on my Netflix queue. If you would like, I could watch it tonight and report back. (Otherwise, I will probably just watch an episode or two of Mad Men.)

Agreed. If you want Mad Men, smoke a cigar and slap your wife's ass. Then go watch this movie.

Watching it right now. Great atmosphere and sound editing. Very creepy haunted house film. Fairly predictable so far, however. (People warning the protagonists about the house are a little much...)

UPDATE: It is really hitting the standard haunted house film beats REALLY hard. Laughable dialogue; stilted acting; minority character is the first victim; jump scares; kooky friend who just happens to do seances. There was a nice call-out to The Changeling (1980), however, and the film is a lot of fun.

UPDATE: Going in a direction I didn't anticipate...Still fun!

UPDATE: Awesome! Movie is rad. Highly recommended

I do. The first sixty minutes of the film are extremely predictable (if you have ever seen a slow burn haunted house movie). The film goes delightfully off the rails in the last 20 minutes, however, and the level of gore at the end was just over the top. My wife was kind of "meh" on it, but I thought it was pretty great.

Yo Ack, my favorite Werewolf movie is Wolf because I love any movie starring Jack Nicholson. Michelle Pfeiffer was one of the most gorgeous women on earth in 1994 (and heck she probably still is today). James Spader is always fun and Weird. Wolf is directed by Mike Nichols who directed the understated comedy The Graduate.

I read this and thought, "How have I not heard of this." Then I saw it was labeled a "romantic horror" movie and figured that was why. That said, I think I may look into this.

Heh, I should build a collection of werewolf movies. Just because.
